SIIM members can review and comment on the final draft of the 2009 revisions to this practice guideline. The comments received will be considered for inclusion in the drafts that will be presented for adoption at the 2009 ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference, May 2009.

This guideline was developed collaboratively by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM).

This standard became effective in 2007 upon the sunset of the ACR Technical Standard for Teleradiology and the ACR Technical Standard for Digital Image Data Management.
