The Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI) is the official journal of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM).

SIIM’s scientific journal was founded in 1988 at the cusp of the evolution of computers in radiology. Since then JDI has become the go-to resource for imaging informatics research and science. JDI is a peer-reviewed publication and is indexed in MEDLINE.

JDI is published bi-monthly and includes papers relevant to PACS and medical imaging informatics. Topics include workflow; image acquisition, image processing; storage; CAD; speech recognition; facility design; informatics education. These are articles with clinical impact within the imaging informatics community.

JDI welcomes submissions worldwide. Please click on the Manuscript Central link below to begin the online submission process. Hypothesis-driven research, experience reports, technical notes and review articles are all considered for publication.

JDI papers are published “online-first” and are fully citable prior to print publication.

SIIM members have online access to full-text JDI articles from 2001 to present. Your member log-in provides direct authentication for access to JDI online.

SIIM has entered the blog world with its very first blog for the society’s peer-reviewed journal, JDI. The blog is moderated by JDI Editor-in-Chief Janice Honeyman-Buck, PhD. Visit http://blogs.springer.com/jdi and post your comments on articles, editorials, new research, and all things JDI-related, or email us directly at jdi@siimweb.org.
